Used Nissan Parts South Africa is an independent supplier of used and aftermarket Nissan spare parts, operating under Nissan Spares Scrap Yard from 666 Cromwell St, Lenasia South, Johannesburg, 1829.

We are not a franchised Nissan dealer, not an authorised Nissan workshop, not a Nissan-approved aftermarket programme participant, and we have no commercial, contractual, or sponsorship relationship with Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Yokohama, Japan, address 1-1, Takashima 1-chome, Nishi-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa 220-8686, Japan) or any Nissan group company.

Nominative fair use of the Nissan trademark

Our use of the Nissan name, model designations (X-Trail, Qashqai, Navara, NP200, Hardbody, 1400, Patrol, Tiida and others) and OE part numbers falls within the spare-parts carve-out of the South African Trade Marks Act 194 of 1993, section 34(2)(c), which permits the use of a registered trade mark "for the purpose of indicating the intended purpose of any goods … in particular as accessories or spare parts."

The same principle is recognised internationally as nominative fair use (see Toyota Motor Sales v. Tabari, 9th Cir.). We use the Nissan name only to the extent reasonably necessary to identify the make, model and year of vehicle that a part fits.

Trademark ownership

"Nissan", the Nissan badge, and all model names referenced on this website (including but not limited to X-Trail, Qashqai, Navara, NP200, NP300, Hardbody, 1400, Patrol, Tiida, Almera, Sentra, Micra, Juke, Pathfinder, Murano, Livina, Maxima, Sunny, GT-R) are registered trade marks of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., 1-1, Takashima 1-chome, Nishi-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa 220-8686, Japan.

All such marks remain the exclusive property of their owner. No transfer of rights is implied by their appearance on this site.

Parts compatibility and OEM-equivalent terminology

Our catalogue is a mix of genuine used (pull-out) OEM parts harvested from end-of-life Nissan vehicles and quality aftermarket parts manufactured to OEM-equivalent specifications. Every quote will state which category a part falls into.

References to "OEM", "OE", "OE-quality", "OEM-equivalent" or "fits Nissan {model}" describe fitment and dimensional/functional equivalence only. They do not imply manufacture by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. or supply through an authorised Nissan parts channel, unless expressly stated.

No manufacturer warranty is implied on any part supplied by us. Parts carry only the supplier warranty stated on the quote or invoice. Coding, programming, online service activation (SCN-equivalent) and complex installation should be carried out by a qualified workshop.

Logos and brand identifiers

Where the Nissan badge, wordmark, or model-specific badging appears on this website, it is used solely to identify the make and model of the vehicle that a part fits, or to depict the part itself in its as-removed condition. Such use is descriptive, non-prominent, and does not constitute a claim of ownership, sponsorship or endorsement.

Customer rights — Consumer Protection Act

As an independent South African supplier, we comply fully with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"). In particular:

• Section 55 — right to safe, good-quality goods. Used and aftermarket parts we supply are warranted to be reasonably fit for the purpose described, of good quality, in good working order, and free of defects.
• Section 56 — implied warranty. A 6-month implied warranty applies to defects, which is not displaced by the supplier-specific warranty terms.
• Section 20 — return rights. Goods may be returned within 7 business days where they fail to match the sample or description, subject to the conditions in the section.
• Section 41 — false, misleading or deceptive representations. We do not represent, expressly or by implication, that we are an authorised Nissan dealer or workshop.

Nothing in this disclaimer limits your statutory rights under the CPA or any other applicable South African consumer-protection law.
